This article examines how the fully integrated use of blockchain technology in the production of medical cannabis optimises manufacturing and transport processes, thereby creating a seamless data and information network. It demonstrates how blockchain can be applied in the highly regulated production of medicinal cannabis, thereby enhancing product traceability and quality. By applying digital technology across the entire value chain, the identity of the medicinal product can be verified with certainty and in a tamper-proof manner, making its dispensing to patients safer.
